Chamber of Commerce represents the

Blockchain is a database system where every new data record holds the result of the mathematical hash function of the previous data record. This allows users to easily detect forged records and simultaneously deny any changes to previously added data. In concert with decentralization technology and the consensus mechanism, it constitutes distributed ledger technology (DLT) which ensures immutability and hack resistance.
Bitcoin utilizes the blockchain technology, peer to peer communication and asymmetric cryptography to create a system protected by proof-of-work consensus that can send value over the Internet in a borderless fashion. The Bitcoin blockchain has now been in uninterrupted 24/7/365 operation for over 10 years.
